Wallflowers transforms garments and clothing forms revealing their underlying stories and memories. Made out of Japanese gampi paper, these iconic forms trigger recollections of events; they are filled with expectation and loss. I began by drafting the patterns using historical patterns as reference.  I then starched the paper to enhance its sculptural quality and textural appeal.
